How it works
You sign in with Instagram, declare a net worth, and choose a percentage of it to contribute. Your badge tier is your contributions during an active certification divided by your current declared net worth: Fake (nothing paid), Legit (0.001% or more), Real (0.01% or more), Boss (0.1% or more), GOAT (1% or more). If you raise your declared net worth, your percentage and tier can drop. You can top up at any time.
A donation, not a proof
Every payment is a voluntary donation and contribution. It is not proof of wealth, identity or solvency, and nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. A badge only shows that a certain amount was paid relative to a self-declared figure. We do not verify net worth.
No refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable, including when a tier drops, a certification expires, or an account is closed, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
The 80/20 split
80% of each payment, net of payment processing fees, is set aside for charity. 20% goes to Who's Real to run and grow the service. Unless stated otherwise, contributions are not tax-deductible for you.
Certification lasts 24 months
A certification lasts 24 months from the payment that opened it. Top-ups during that period add to it but do not extend it. When it lapses your profile shows as unverified and a new payment is needed to certify again.
Public figures
Some public figures are listed with net worth figures taken from publicly reported sources or their own public statements, labelled Self-declared, Estimated or Filed. Being listed does not mean they joined, endorse or are affiliated with Who's Real. Each listing shows "Unverified" for 6 months, meaning they have not certified on this site. After that window it shows "Expired", which only means no certification was made during the window. Neither label is a statement about their actual wealth or honesty.
Removal requests
If you are listed and want to be removed or corrected, email removal@whosreal.app from an address or account we can link to you. We aim to act within 7 days.
Privacy and data
We store your social handle, public profile name and image, your declared net worth, your payment amounts and dates. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Your handle, badge, percentage and contributions are public by design. Requests you submit for other people are stored for review. We do not sell your data. You can ask for access to or deletion of your data at the address above, subject to records we must keep by law.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
